What have Myreton Marquee Hire been up to?
2020 was a disaster for the events industry. As numbers of people allowed to attend events dropped in March and April, we set about rescheduling existing bookings later in the year and 2021.
Finding availability at venues across the country and working with toilet hire companies, generator hire, caterers and many unhappy couples, we managed to find new dates for everyone.
Some of our clients whom we originally changed dates for to later in 2020 or early 2021 have had to replan their events a 2nd or 3rd time as the ban on events continues to be extended.
We have found that our flexible approach has worked well and our understanding customers are satisfied that Myreton continues to do everything possible to accommodate them in these difficult times.
Track and Trace โ NHS Testing Centres
Early in the pandemic, we started work on Scotlandโs first drive-through Covid-19 testing centre at Glasgow Airportโs long-stay car park, with Edinburgh the following week and Aberdeen two weeks later.
Since then the guys have been busy erecting tents at testing centres across the length and breadth of the country and even some in the North of England.
Today we were in Paisley in Renfrewshire, working on the latest site to go live at Bridge Street Car Park in the Town Centre. In freezing temperatures the team were up against the clock and the guys managed to finish work just in time as the NHS Testing Centre opened its doors a couple of hours later at 2 pm.
All of the employees here at Myreton Marquee Hire are very proud to be able to assist the Scottish Government in fighting this pandemic and hopefully, our small contribution to this effort can see an end to this disruption to our lives sometime soon.
Stay safe!
